01Scope and acceptance
This Policy applies to the App and to the Weighly pages of www.gladex.top. Other parts of the GladeX website are covered by the GladeX website Privacy Policy. By downloading or using the App you confirm that you have read this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.
This Policy should be read together with the Weighly Terms of Service.
02What information the App handles
Information you enter, stored on your device
- Profile: an optional name, sex, date of birth or age, height, activity level, preferred units, goal (lose, maintain or gain weight) and goal weight.
- Weigh-ins: weight, date and time, optional notes, tags and body measurements (for example waist or hips).
- Progress photos: photos you take with the camera or choose from your library, attached to a weigh-in.
- Habits: water intake, fasting sessions and their history, streaks, streak freezes and vacation periods, achievements and milestones.
- Settings: language, theme, app icon, reminders, app lock and sync preferences, Summary layout.
- Imported data: weight history you choose to import from a CSV file.
This information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive it, and we cannot see, read, export or delete it on your behalf.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require or offer an account, and we do not collect your email address, phone number or postal address through the App.
- We do not use advertising identifiers, do not track you across apps or websites and do not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
- We do not include analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs, and the App shows no ads.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts or browsing history.
- We never receive your Face ID data. Face ID is handled by Apple's Secure Enclave, and the App only learns whether authentication succeeded.
Information Apple may share with us
If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with aggregated, de-identified statistics (such as installs, sessions or crashes) through App Store Connect. This information does not identify you, and its collection is controlled by Apple and by your device settings.
03Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional and happens only after you grant permission on Apple's standard Health screen. You choose which data types the App may access, and you can change this at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Weighly.
Data the App may read, depending on your choices: body weight, body fat percentage and lean body mass; steps, walking and running distance, flights climbed, exercise minutes, active energy and workouts; water; dietary energy, protein, carbohydrates and fat logged by other apps; and, only if you turn on cycle awareness, menstrual period days.
Data the App may write: body weight, height, body mass index and water that you log in Weighly.
Health data is processed only on your device to show your progress, trends, calorie estimates and related insights. It is never transferred to us, never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with RevenueCat or any other third party. If you enable iCloud Sync, the weigh-ins and water stored in Weighly (including those imported from Health) are kept in your private iCloud account as described in section 5.
04AI coach and Apple Intelligence
The AI coach, the weekly letter and other AI-written text use Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence, through Apple's Foundation Models framework). To answer a question, the App gives the on-device model a summary of your data computed on your device and the question you ask. This processing happens on your device. We do not receive your questions, the answers or the summary, and no external AI provider is used.
Coach conversations are not saved after you close the chat. A generated weekly letter may be kept on your device so it does not have to be written again. The AI coach is available only where Apple Intelligence is supported and enabled. Apple's own processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
05iCloud Sync
iCloud Sync is an optional feature available to subscribers. When it is on, your profile, weigh-ins, measurements, water, achievements, settings and progress photos are stored in your personal iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage and the CloudKit private database) so they can appear on your other Apple devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
This data is stored by Apple under your Apple Account and is governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy. We have no access to it and cannot read, export, share or delete it. You can turn iCloud Sync off in the App, and delete the stored copy in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage. Turning sync off or ending a subscription does not delete the data on your device.
06Third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. Information is handled by the following parties only as needed to provide the relevant feature:
- Apple Inc. provides the App Store, in-app purchases (StoreKit), Apple Health, iCloud, Apple Intelligence, Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, widgets, Live Activities, notifications and Apple Watch connectivity. These services are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) processes in-app subscriptions and purchases on top of Apple StoreKit. It receives an anonymous app user identifier generated on your device, purchase and subscription details (product, dates, status, transaction identifiers, App Store country and currency) and technical data needed to communicate with its servers (such as device model, operating system and app version, and IP address). RevenueCat does not receive your health data, weigh-ins, photos, name or payment card details. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
- Tally (Tally BV, Belgium) hosts the "Contact support", "Report a bug" and "Suggest an idea" forms. They open only when you tap them, and whatever you choose to type there (and technical data your browser sends) is processed by Tally to deliver your message to us. Tally Privacy Policy.
- Email. If you write to us, we receive your email address and the content of your message, processed by our email provider (Google). We use it only to reply.
Sharing you start yourself. When you share or export something (a progress card, a photo comparison, a CSV file or a PDF report), it leaves the App through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose. Once shared, it is outside our control and subject to the recipient's or service's own terms. Please think before sharing photos or health information.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information we actually hold (for example, a support email) if required by law, a court order or a lawful request by public authorities, or where necessary to protect our rights, users or the public. In a merger, acquisition or sale of the App, information we hold may be transferred to the successor, who will remain bound by this Policy.
07Device permissions
The App asks for permissions only when a feature needs them, and you can change them at any time in iOS Settings:
- Camera - to take progress photos.
- Photos (add only) - to save cards and images you create to your library. Photos you pick are chosen through Apple's picker, which shares only the selected images.
- Apple Health - see section 3.
- Notifications - for weigh-in, water and fasting reminders. They are scheduled locally on your device.
- Face ID - to lock the App, if you turn this on.
Widgets, the Apple Watch app, Live Activities, Siri, Shortcuts and Spotlight show or use your data on your own devices. Lock Screen widgets and Live Activities may be visible to anyone who can see your screen; you can remove them at any time.
08How information is used and legal bases
Information on your device is used only to run the App's features: showing your progress and trends, forecasts and estimates, reminders, achievements, AI answers, sync and export. Subscription data is used to unlock and verify paid features and to restore purchases. Support messages are used to answer you and improve the App.
Where the EU or UK GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: your consent for Apple Health access (including any health data, which is a special category of data), camera, notifications and other optional permissions, which you may withdraw at any time; performance of a contract to provide the App and paid features; legitimate interests in securing the App, preventing fraud and answering support requests; and legal obligations where applicable. Processing of health data takes place on your device and is not transferred to us.
09Storage, security and retention
Data in the App is protected by iOS data protection and, if you enable it, by the Face ID app lock. Connections to RevenueCat use encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). You are responsible for securing your device, your passcode and your Apple Account.
On-device data is kept until you delete it in the App or delete the App. Data in iCloud is kept until you delete it from iCloud. Subscription records are kept by RevenueCat and Apple according to their own policies and legal requirements. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss of or unauthorised access to data stored on your device or in your iCloud account caused by events outside our reasonable control. We recommend keeping your own backups using the App's export feature and your device backups.
10Your choices and rights
Because your data is stored on your devices and in your iCloud account, you control it directly:
- View, edit and delete weigh-ins, photos and other entries in the App.
- Export your data as a CSV file or PDF report.
- Revoke Apple Health, camera, photos and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Turn off iCloud Sync and delete the iCloud copy in iOS Settings.
- Delete all local data by deleting the App from your device.
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, the Law of Ukraine "On Personal Data Protection", or US state laws such as the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. For data we actually hold (for example, a support email), contact us and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your request. We do not sell or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
11Children
The App is intended for users aged 13 and over (or the higher minimum age required in your country, such as 16 in some EU countries) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Users under the age of majority should use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12International transfers
We are based in Ukraine. Our service providers (such as Apple, RevenueCat, Tally and Google) may process information in the United States, the European Union and other countries. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
13Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, for example through the App or this page. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated Policy.
